Scott Feiner

The North American musician Scott Feiner celebrates a decade living in Brazil with the show of his third CD "Accents". The pandeiro jazz innovator Scott Feiner will take the stage with the same musicians that played on the recording sessions: Freddie Bryant (acoustic and 12-string guitar), Joel Frahm(tenor and soprano saxophone) and Joe Martin (bass).
Scott Feiner's musical story is not a common one. Not only is he an American pandeiro player, but he also introduced this Brazilian hand drum to the world of jazz in a highly personal way. He is native of New York City!

In the early '90s, he was a respected guitarist in the New York Jazz scene, but in 1999, during his first trip to Brazil, Feiner discovered the pandeiro, the instrument which would become his passion and new means of musical expression.

                          

                          

The show will be tonight at the Solar de Botafogo, in Rio de Janeiro!

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Jesse Eisenberg, Jemaine Clement and Rodrigo Santoro , who give their voices to the caracters, were in town last nigh for the premier of the movie RIO.

Wearing a white lace dress Anne talked about how happy she was to be part of this project and finally getting to know Rio de Janeiro. She said that they spent a lot of time inside a studio with the promisse that some day they would go to Rio!

RIO The Movie

Last night was the premier of RIO a 3D animation movie. It's the new adventures from the makers of Ice Age.  The director Carlos Saldanha brings RIO as his homage to his hometown!

The movie tell the story of  Blu a macaw who has been transported when he was just newly hatched from the jungles of Brazil and was transported to Minnesota, USA. He was accidentally found and adopted by a very studious girl named Linda (Leslie Mann).
Growing up together for fifteen years, Blu is accustomed to a very domesticated life and has depended on Linda’s care all his life. But when Linda found out that Blu is actually the last of his kind together with another female blue Macaw known as Jewel (Anne Hathaway) living in Brazil – they set out on a journey to try to save Blu’s kind.

A  heartwarming story and all-new original music from icons will.i.am and Jamie Foxx!!

Last day of summer

This  was the last weekend of a great summer! Here we usually go to a bar on weekends, specially if it's sunny and the wheather is nice, like today. There is a bar that I like a lot it's called Bar Urca, there's always beautiful people around. It's a nice place to make friends and watch the sunset, it's right by the water!

That's the best way to protect your caipirinha from getting warm!!

It’s Friday at last!! It was a gorgeous day today and of course we are getting ready for the weekend. When the sun comes out everybody goes to the beach even if it’s only for one hour!

You can ride the cable up the hill while your friends are waiting at the beach! Off season it’s very quiet, you'll have a good time and the view is the best in town! And don’t forget to walk around the neighbourhood that is very unique!
